As skin ages, it loses some of the natural support structures like collagen and elastin that make it look smooth, healthy and youthful.  The result is wrinkles, creases and deep lines.

Radiesse is an injectable wrinkle filler used to plump the skin, adding volume immediately.  The results have been shown to last for more than a year in some patients, making Radiesse a long-lasting treatment that is immediately noticeable.

Radiesse can help achieve a long-lasting natural look, while also immediately smoothing wrinkles and creases.  (For more Before & After photos, click here.)

What is the Radiesse treatment like?

Radiesse is an injectable comprised of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel carrier.  It is a quick procedure than can be done in one lunchtime appointment.  It will be injected by your provider under the skin to fill wrinkles, creases, lines and folds.  It can also be injected around the mouth to add volume to your lips.  It is also FDA approved for a local anesthetic to be applied in conjunction with the injections, which significantly reduces any discomfort than may occur.  Results from this treatment are immediately visible.

How long do the results of a Radiesse treatment last?

Many patients have shown results that last for more than a year.  That’s because Radiesse filler immediately adds volume under the skin, but then also stimulates own natural collagen.  Each patient is different so results will vary, but Radiesse is a clinically proven long-lasting filler.

How many Radiesse treaments will I need?

Typically just one treatment is all that is needed for smoothing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.  But the desired results and the area being treated can affect the total number of treatments needed.

What is the recovery time from a Radiesse treatment?

Typically, normal activities can be resumed immediately following treatment.  The most common reported side effects have been swelling and/or redness at the injection site.  Bruising, pain, itching and tenderness have also been reported.  If these side effect do occur, they generally subside within a few hours.  Visible results are immediate.

What are the benefits of Radiesse treatment?

  • RADIESSE immediately replenishes lost volume and stimulates the production of the body’s own natural collagen with results that can last a year or more in many patients
  • Over time, the gel is absorbed and the body metabolizes the CaHA microspheres leaving behind only your own natural collagen
  • RADIESSE is FDA approved to mix with lidocaine, an anesthetic, to significantly reduce injection-related pain
